Job Description

Leading LSE social science research centres the Centre for Analysis of Social Exclusion (CASE), Centre for Economic Performance (CEP), Centre for Vocational Education Research (CVER) and Suntory and Toyota International Centres for Economics and Related Disciplines (STICERD) seek an IT Support Analyst to support the centres’ researchers and staff in all aspects of centres’ IT systems.

The post holder will be providing first line IT support to all members of these centres.
The post holder will have the required experience to carry out the following responsibilities:


  • To provide first line support in person, via email and over the phone for Desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones and peripherals communicating effectively with all levels of users of differing technical experience and requirements: an excellent telephone manner and good customer service skills are required
  • To troubleshoot computer, network or printer hardware faults
  • To install and maintain a range of operating systems including: Windows 7 and Server 2008, Apple OS X and Mobile operating systems: iOS and Android
  • To troubleshoot common business and academic software
  • To assist in the administration of the centres IT and Data asset registers
