Sales Operations is a strategic, growing and high priority area for Pearson. Sales Operations has 3 goals: 1) Drive salesforce productivity and effectiveness; 2) Deliver strategic insights to sales leaders to facilitate data-driven decision making and informed business management; 3) Drive a world class sales experience for our customers.
The Sales Crediting Analyst is responsible for the completion and accuracy of Pearson’s order to commission crediting process. This individual must be capable of providing guidance on resolution while adhering to policies and process. This role is critical to our monthly and quarterly commission processes and is an outstanding opportunity to work with our Sales Operations Team and in close partnership with our Sales team.
Responsibilities for this role include the following:
Learn, understand and clearly articulate the Sales Crediting process, including data flows, system integrations, and business rules
Assist in researching customer activity to clarify complex transactions and processes.
Create reports to identify and analyze outliers and determine a systematic manner to adjust according to business rules.
Be a lead resource for sales account executives, sales operations and sales commission team on policy and process regarding sales commissions and applying it to specific transactions.
Complete and prioritize work as required.
Understand data models, related objects and sales order processes within Pearson systems to be able to analyze gaps and implement processes based on existing functionality.
Provide reporting and analysis of complex sales transactions and orders. Create and drive value-add analytics on ad hoc requests from the business and key stakeholders.
Liaise with project management teams to support strategic business initiatives for growth and scale including setting business rules for IT configuration, determining appropriate business policy for new endeavors and facilitating change management process for current organizational set-up.
Create policy and process changes to the Sales Crediting process and ensure proper documentation.
Understand and support the territory management processes
Understand and support third party transactions, and how they impact sales crediting
Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree not required but preferred
5 – 7 years experience within a Finance or Operations organization
Strong analytical and technical skills
Strong skills in use of order management or similar systems
Previous experience in a CRM environment
Self-motivated to meet deadlines independently
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a variety of other departments
Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
Strong learning agility
