The Scanning and Logistics department sits within the Operations division and are responsible for the distribution, receipting, scanning, data entry and storage of educational testing materials for all domestic and international projects.

The role entails the supervision of scanning and inbound/outbound distribution aspects of projects as allocated by the Scanning and Logistics Manager.

The Scanning and Logistics Supervisor may be required to travel to provide support for offsite (Interstate and International) Scanning and Logistics programs. Varying workflow will require additional hours of work to be performed adjacent to the standard working day. A co-operative, flexible and results focused approach is essential at peak operational times.

Key responsibilities

  • Timely delivery of project tasks to pre-determined schedules including the monitoring, auditing and reporting of all distribution, inbound and scanning performance (staff and process);
  • Scheduling of casual staff in conjunction with the Scanning & Logistics Manager and identification of training requirements along with development and implementation of training programs;
  • Organisation of packing and storage of completed project materials as per project specifications; Planning, developing and improving work practices, processes and performance in collaboration with the Scanning & Logistics Manager;
  • Processing materials inventory control and scanner maintenance and support (on and off site);
  • Development and maintenance of a safe working environment for all employees and active participation in Quality Management System and auditing process;

Qualifications

  • Experience in leading and managing a team to ensure peak performance and accuracy and a proven ability to analyse and improve work practices;
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal fluency in English with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Excellent time management/task prioritisation and computer literacy in all Microsoft Office software;
  • Mechanical aptitude with a technical understanding of photocopier and / or scanner mechanics or engineering;
  • Familiarity with freight despatch and tracking software, preferably Australia Post eParcel; and the ability to operate scanning equipment will be highly regarded. A forklift license and first aid qualification or willingness to obtain both is essential
