The Senior Cloud Security Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and overseeing the company's security configuration of its core cloud solutions. You will define, enhances, and implements Centrica's information security architecture, while ensuring consistent administration of information security policies, standards, procedures, and controls to effectively improve security posture. You will work in a team of senior engineers, who run our security platforms every day.
Location: You can work in Windsor/home; we have people working all over the UK but also a range of office locations.

Responsibilities
Take engineering and operational ownership of our cloud security platforms, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft's suite of security tools
Regularly review and refine cloud security policies to ensure they align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Lead and manage Cloud Security projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet the set specifications.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to seamlessly integrate cloud security solutions into the existing infrastructure
Assist the Cyber Defence team in in post incident remediation tasks
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
What we need from you:
Experience in developing security architecture and standards and implementation guides
Experience working in an engineering or hands on position.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), with specific expertise in Microsoft's security solutions
Proven track record of designing and implementing cloud security solutions in large organisations, preferably within the energy sector
Proficient in cybersecurity best practices and threat mitigation strategies
Programmatic skills in and around Python, PowerShell and Terraform
Education: Bachelor's degree in area(s) of study such as information technology, computer science, information systems, or relevant experience
