Job Description

As Correspondence Manager for three of DExEU’s junior Ministers, you will be responsible for all correspondence that they will sign, as well as leading on co-ordinating drafts across DExEU policy areas for their portfolio areas. This will include being the key operational contact and co-ordinator on correspondence for these offices. In this role you will have responsibility for ensuring co-ordination at pace to provide a professional, consistent and continuously improving service to the Ministers, meeting our delivery targets, and the challenging delivery targets set by No.10, as well as working with our Quality Assurance function to deliver a quality product, coaching your team in the spirit of continuous improvement. 

You will be working as part of a motivated and focused group of professionals at the very front line of the department’s day-to-day communication with members of the public, MPs, peers and business stakeholders. This post is a challenging one, and requires prompt action, political awareness and excellent organisation, alongside taking on ad hoc responsibilities to broaden your skills and shape your career. You will also need to develop a broad knowledge of our core stakeholder groups, using that knowledge to determine and suggest how we should best respond. Project managing the throughput of cases and high quality drafting skills are must-haves for this role.
