We have an opportunity for a Senior Credit Risk Modeller to build the analytical models that support the delivery of a paradigm breaking Digital Bank to the market. We are looking for dynamic people that will relish the opportunity to start with a blank piece of paper to drive out the technical requirements for credit risk in a brand new digital bank. As a Senior Credit Risk Modeller, you’ll support the end to end design of the credit operating model and own the production of credit risk models and associated analytics. You will work with a number of stakeholders, product owners and SME’s to understand the analytical models and ensure and develop specification for product applications and ongoing behavioural analysis. You’ll develop the dashboard for VMDB financial products and leverage existing datasets hosted in an AWS cloud environment.
You’ll be the SME for all credit modelling and analytical issues related to VMDB’s financial products and customer portfolios. You’ll develop product specific analytical model specifications and ensure that all associated models are successfully deployed and monitored. You’ll proactively maintain the end to end credit operating model and analytics systems including the senior business leader’s credit operating model dashboards.
To be successful in this role, you’ll already be working in an analytics (model development) role in a retail bank and have detailed knowledge of credit risk modelling techniques including probability of default, loan/product applications, and behavioural analysis among others. You’ll have a good understanding of ICAAP and stress testing and working knowledge of IFRS9 and model validation and model performance tracking. You’ll have good working knowledge of analytical tools such as SAS and/or R, Python and cloud based environments such as AWS.
