Job Description

The successful candidate will have considerable experience of organising temporary exhibitions in the cultural sector. You will lead the delivery of exhibition design and build and capital projects, working with internal interpretation, curatorial, loans and conservation teams and external design, build and AV contractors. 


You will have a thorough understanding of the display and handling of a wide range of objects - especially library material and detailed knowledge of lending and borrowing. You will be committedto the principles of sustainable design and build. You will combine excellent staff management and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines with excellent written and oral communications skills. 


In addition you will lead the development of the library’s touring programme in the UK and internationally and will have experience of delivering high quality physical and digital exhibitions, working with a range of venue partners and contractors.
