Job Description

The Operational Technology team sits within Capability Development in Technology Command. Capability Development leads on specifying, designing, developing, delivering and supporting new technical capabilities (operational, business, back office and corporate) across the agency. As an NCA officer you can make a difference! We are at the forefront of Law enforcement in the UK and we look for a wide variety of skills and experience to protect the public. Whatever your role you will have a vital part to play. We are currently looking to recruit 2 x G4 Infrastructure Engineers to join Technology Command.

The successful candidate will go on to support the development, maintenance and enhancement of technical capabilities. You will participate in building new services on multiple platforms, as well as working collaboratively with service support, infrastructure teams and non-technical user groups to identify issues to support fault resolution and project handover. You will collect and record customer requirements within the UK for remote intelligence applications and define requirements. You will identify, investigate and resolve software defects.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent relevant experience in engineering, computer science, physics or mathematics. You must have experience of Cisco network infrastructure and Windows infrastructure, including dealing with support, maintenance and upgrades. You must also have experience of Microsoft MSCP 2nd and 3rd line support, with Oracle database administrator.
