Do you have what it takes to own and manage the user experience of our digital products and services that will be used and adopted over 100,000 DWP employees, to help support more than 22M people in the UK?
We're looking for an Interaction Designer to join our Tech Services team. We provide the foundations to everything DWP Digital work on, putting users and quality of service at the heart of what we do.
We want people who are as motivated by the same unique purpose as we are, and who have the skills we need to deliver against a really challenging, important agenda.
Design with People in mind
You'll work initially on our DWP Place programme. DWP Place is our new one-stop platform where over 100,000 DWP colleagues and agents can access IT support, order new equipment, speak to chatbots and technicians and lots more
Your focus will be on understanding and fulfilling user needs and determining end-to-end user journeys, using prototypes to do so.
You will use excellent understanding of interaction design best practices - as well as an eye on future developments - to promote user-centred focus and design across our teams.
You're a good, communicator, collaborator and motivator.
You will collaborate with product owners, engineers, researchers and more as part of an agile multidisciplinary team, to support and inform the overall design solution for new and updated products. You'll also lead and manage other designers.
You'll work with the stakeholders who use our platforms, helping them understand their desired business outcomes and identifying design solutions.
Ideally you will have a background in experience service performance, and a clear understanding of the systems and architectures across teams in order to reduce, remove and address issues or problems. You'll need some design assurance experience too, to make sure that build activity aligns with the design intent.
