Position Purpose:

Global Corporate Affairs & Marketing (GCAM) communicates Pearson's unique position as the world's learning company, while building strong and enduring relationships with our key stakeholders across the global audiences around the world. We focus on helping to strengthen our reputation with policymakers, influencers, the general public, and our employees. We ensure that our brand, communication, digital, and marketing efforts are being driven with global consistency. We are looking for a sharp, driven, and detail oriented expert to take on the role as SeniorAutomation & Lead Generation Manager across all CRM and email marketing activities, helping to build understanding and excitement around the ambitious strategy throughout Pearson. You will also partner closely with others, including Data and Analytics, on Digital Channels activity.

Reporting to the Director Data and Analytics, you will develop our CRM, automation and lead generation strategies and execution for Pearson,educating local marketing teams on how to optimise and deliver campaigns using marketing automation and lead generation applications.You will also own the KPIs and best practice for these disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee global strategy for marketing automation in collaboration with technology and local marketing teams

Manage, optimize and extend the eCRM program

Identify and help prioritize features forCRM, Automation and lead generation applications, including targeting and personalisation

Set global best practice standards for email initiatives e.g. eCommerce basket abandonment and welcome programmes

Provide campaign detail standards including controls to Analytics team for campaign reporting, working with Analytics managers to integrate platforms where applicable

Advise on performance and define future optimization recommendations and focus on local / country-specific related programs and needs

Coordinate and communicate with various teams on content-creation, testing, and validation standards

Help define and maintain eCRM software filters, rules and conditions

Create, own and enforce Email KPIs, creating a roll-up report to analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements

Report on sales revenue generated from email marketing efforts

Ensure internal GCAM emails follow industry policies, best practices and are measured effectively

Qualifications

Key Attributes:

Extensive experience in Automation

Extensive experience lead generation with online forms

Good technical understanding of software architecture and customer databases

Experience working with Salesforce, Exact Target & Pardot or similar

Understanding of AMPscript language use for personalizing content

Familiarity with SQL or Salesforce Object Query language

Hands on experience with HTML and content management systems

Familiarity with analytical and database tools

Strong understanding of data segmentation and targeted messaging

Good understanding of subscription revenue business models as well as sensitivity to business goals and perspectives

Proven experience of email production, design and testing

Excellent organizational skills and commitment to detail

Proven RoI-focused campaign management skills

Solid grasp of email design and best-practices

English copywriting experience for marketing campaigns or similar

Excellent project management skills

Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills

Degree (or equivalent) preferable
