Job Description

  • Do you love using data to get people to think differently?

  • Searching for a varied role where you can make a real impact?

  • Interested in a pension worth 27.9% of salary, 60% home working, flexible working hours and a great work-life balance?

This is not just web analytics; in this role you will be collaborating closely with digital teams, delivering accurate and actionable insights, driving focus and centralising our users in everything that we do.

DWP. Digital with Purpose.

We are looking for a Senior Digital Performance Analyst to join our community of experts in DWP Digital.

DWP is the UK's largest government department. We help people into work and make payments worth over £195bn a year, to support some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

The DWP products and services we analyse and modernise will be used by nearly every person in the UK, at key moments in their lives. The scale of what we do is extraordinary, and our purpose is unique. We'd love you to join us.

Delivery. Work. Projects.

This is not just web analytics; in this role you will collaborate closely with digital teams that build services for our citizens.

You'll be working with a variety of professions in DWP, understanding the needs of our digital service users and measuring the difference our products make.

You'll use data to show how digital services are adding value, delivering accurate and efficient performance reporting and analytical insight.

Every day is different - you might be building relationships with stakeholders, developing data collection plans and performance frameworks, solving complex problems, creating dashboards and reports or analysing service iterations.

You'll undertake analysis that will drive customer-centric innovations and investments to improve the user experience.

As a Senior Digital Performance Analyst, you'll be defining the future of digital performance analytics in DWP and supporting and nurturing the development of our Digital Performance Analysts.

This is a key role, where a variety of stakeholders will depend on you to deliver accurate and actionable insights, to drive the focus and centralise our users in everything that we do.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • You can prioritise and delegate work to ensure your team is always focussed on the most important tasks.

  • You can inspire and coach others to deliver insightful analysis and creative solutions to problems.

  • You nurture a deep understanding of business goals and can turn these into tangible performance measures. You can support teams building digital products to agree and work with the KPIs and measures of success.

  • You can integrate quantitative data with qualitative data, such as user surveys and user research, to develop hypotheses for service improvements. You can offer recommendations on the best tools and methods to be used.

  • You can turn complex data into compelling, clear and actionable stories. You can present insights and visualisations in clear ways to communicate complex messages. You can communicate negative and positive information to stakeholders. You know how to give tactical and strategic recommendations.

  • You can work with, and influence, senior stakeholders. You can adapt the approach according to constraints. You can see and implement changes necessary, improving processes and ways of working whilst considering their impact.

  • You are comfortable collaborating with user researchers and other user-focused professions. You know how to guide others on approaches to understand user stories.

Details. Wages. Perks.

You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs, in your choice of Leeds or Newcastle.

We also have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work flexibly. We work a hybrid model, with around 60% home working.

In return for your skills, we offer a competitive salary of up to £67,212.
