Private Law is a highly regarded and successful division within Blake Morgan, made up of our Succession & Tax, Residential Property and Family Law teams. It generates fees of over £10m and comprises 120 people regionally.
As a Private Client Solicitor, you will have a broad range of legal experience, including:
Lifetime estate planning to cover advice on the preparation of Wills and powers of attorney, charitable legacy giving, tax (including inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax) & trust planning.
Obtaining grants of probate or letters of administration and administering estates, including foreign domicile and intestate estates
Obtaining grants of probate and letters of administration for charities & charitable legacy advice
Post-death planning to include advising on deeds of variation and deeds of family arrangement
A good working knowledge of trust management, with reference to the firm's dedicated Trust Administration team (as required) is preferred.
Experience of dealing with assets in different jurisdictions and foreign Wills is preferred.
