What is the role?
Furthering your already impressive career in the Evidence & Insight industry, you’ll work within a highly successful and ambitious team, and have the opportunity to develop your skills further working alongside many Macmillan directorates: Strategy and Performance; Policy and Impact; Cancer Support Operations and Fundraising Marketing and Communications.
Working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to drive and manage cancer data programmes of work to support Macmillan’s strategic direction and strategy measurement you’ll produce and present cross-organisational, high profile and impactful strategic data outputs which drive awareness of Macmillan’s work across multiple audiences.
You’ll also need to adopt a strategic perspective in understanding requirements, and be always looking to enhance application of evidence across the organisation.
Who are we looking for?
It’s essential that your track record demonstrates a strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research, the effective communication of findings to a variety of audiences, and managing research projects from brief to delivery.
Ideally you will have had experience in a role where the emphasis was on analysing and interpreting social or health-related data as well as an understanding of the current information governance environment.
You must also have the ability to both influence and manage the expectations of a variety of stakeholders.
Our ambition is to reach and improve the lives of everyone affected by cancer and inspire millions to do the same. With the 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer now predicted to increase to 4 million by 2030, it’s a very challenging ambition that demands we use evidence and insight to increase our understanding of the 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK, their needs, experiences in order to deliver this ambition. You will have a vital role in ensuring that this happens.
