We are working hard to offer a real alternative to banking as usual – a bank that aims to make everyone better off.  As a result we now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Developer to lead the development of Virgin Money’s Data Warehouse and BI systems covering all aspects of the SDLC, from low-level design, development, through to ongoing maintenance and support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direction and guidance on all technical aspects of warehouse development as well as the design, build and testing of new and amended functionality. It’s a varied and exciting role so you’ll enjoy multi-tasking as you successfully lead an awesome team to deliver quality products, provide support and guidance to colleagues and contributing to the strategic roadmap within your specialist area of ETL development.

To be brilliant you’ll be a true specialist in this field with a passion for developing Data Warehouse solutions. We need highly-skilled developers with knowledge and experience of using the Oracle stack, however if you’re experienced in other industry-recognised ETL toolsets, we’d still love to hear from you.  You’ll keep up to date with best practice, innovations and trends in the industry in order to provide technically appropriate solutions and improved methods of working. As an engaging individual you will enjoy building relationships and have the gravitas and confidence to work effectively with all levels across the business

Required skills/experience:

  • Oracle Warehouse Builder 11.2
  • Oracle Data Integrator
  • Oracle database 10g/11g/12c, SQL, PL/SQL,
  • Database and SQL performance tuning
  • Dimensional modelling, Kimball methodologies
  • Source control, GIT

Desirable skills/experience:

  • OBIA
  • Scheduling, Control-m
  • SAS DI Studio
  • Data Quality tools
