What we are looking for:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Quality and Governance team to recruit to the post of Serious Incident Senior Administrator.
The post holder will be a key member of the thriving and supportive Serious Incident team, working across all the Integrated Practice Units (IPU’s) within St Andrew’s Healthcare, whose overarching goal is to enable timely reporting of incidents and submitting investigation reports.
The Serious Incident Senior Administrator will be responsible for processing and reporting incidents via STEIS, for weekly reporting of incidents to senior leadership, administration for the Serious Incident Review Group (SIRG) and will work closely with the Healthcare Case Investigator providing support and cover where required. The post holder will be highly motivated, with strong organisational skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines, managing their workload effectively and know when to escalate conflicting priorities.

About the Service:

The Quality and Governance Team work together to understand the safety and quality issues that arise within St Andrew’s Healthcare. By closely working with and supporting operational services, we are able to identify potential risks to safety and quality of services delivery. Teams that form the Quality and Governance department are the Serious Incident Team, the Datix Team and the Quality Compliance team. Together we ensure compliance with all related standards and laws via systems and processes and provide assurance to the Board and patients, that St Andrew’s Healthcare is meeting all of these obligations. The team are committed to ensuring that as a Charity we learn from incidents and support our staff to recognise where harm could occur and implement measures to reduce these.
