Social Worker – Learning Disability Integrated Practice Unit,

Location: Northampton
Salary:  £24,161- £31,469 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week
 
The LD IPU provides medium secure, low secure and locked settings for men and women with a learning disability and complex mental health needs. We work in the least restrictive way to support positive outcomes for our patients as individuals.
 
We are seeking to recruit a social worker to join the existing social work team in the IPU.
 
Your role with us  
The work offers the opportunity to see complex patients through to successful discharge. Regular supervision is provided and opportunities for development both in social work and other related practice issues are provided and encouraged. You will be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and there will be opportunities for training to ensure re-registration.   
 
You should be in receipt of the Diploma in Social Work or equivalent and have experience with Mental Health Legislation including the Care Programme Approach.  A good working knowledge of the Mental Health Act, the Mental Capacity Act and the SafeGuarding processes under the Care Act 2014 will be required.
 
The post is open to qualified and newly qualified Social Workers & the salary offered will reflect any post-qualification experience and skills.
