Social Worker – Men’s Mental Health Medium Secure Integrated Practice Unit,

Location: Northampton
Salary:  £27,818 - £34,832 pro rata dependent on experience.

Hours: 22.5 per week

St Andrew’s in Northampton is a registered charity and is a national resource taking referrals from all parts of the UK.  There is an opportunity to work as a Social Worker within the Men’s Mental Health Medium Secure IPU, St Andrew’s in Northampton.

Your role with us  
The work offers the opportunity to see complex patients through to successful discharge. Regular supervision is provided and opportunities for development both in social work and other related practice issues are provided and encouraged. You will be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and there will be opportunities for training to ensure re-registration.

You should be in receipt of the BA Hons / Diploma in Social Work and have a minimum of 2 years’ post qualification experience within Mental Health Legislation including the Care Programme Approach.  We are looking for a qualified professional who has a keen interest and experience of working in a mental health setting with a good working knowledge of current legal frameworks such as the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act in addition to Safeguarding practice.
