SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS COORDINATOR
Location: Army Foundation College, Harrogate
The Army Foundation College sits on the outskirts of the Victorian Spa town of Harrogate. A purpose-built site for phase 1 recruits (Junior Soldiers) joining the Army.
Surrounded by 360 degrees of beautiful countryside, Pearson TQ staff benefit from the fantastic on-site facilities a 25 metre pool, full fitted CV and weights suite and squash and badminton courts. To relax there is the Learning Resource Centre and if you fancy a bite to eat there are two on-site cafes.

Package: salary & reward package according to qualifications and experience
Contract: Permanent term time only. (Please note AFC terms do not always match with LEA term dates)
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: Various dates from October 2020
PURPOSE: Determine the strategic development of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) policy and provision in the college in line with the direction given by the Education Manager. Be responsible for day to day operation of the SEND policy and coordination of specific provision to support individual learners with SEN or a disability. Provide professional guidance to colleagues on SEN Junior Soldiers at the Army Foundation College in Harrogate.
DESCRIPTION: TQ Education & Training is a provider of outsourced training services to the UK Ministry of Defence, other public sector organisations and private companies, both in the UK and overseas. We have a requirement for SEN Coordinator to work at the AFC, Harrogate.
