Qualifications

Specialist Operations Management (Level D) Titled Sr. Demand Planner/Process Engineer

Responsible for providing business process and semi-technical support and training to staff of Pearson Demand Planners NA who use Logility and OBIEE Systems, and will be considered the subject matter expert for Demand Planning in NA, developing expertise across the Demand Planning structure, and in using, documenting and training in relevant reporting tools for Demand Planners in NA. Lead the development of new system processes to enhance the quality of data and processes, develop reports/management information, maintain systems documentation and set up and help maintain Logility system data.

Responsible for the preparation of the NA Demand Planning reports , and continuous improvement process. Will have direct ownership of a Content Portfolio (Source Code) to manage as a Sr. Demand Planner/ Process Engineer

Main Duties and Responsibilities.

1.To lead the preparation and submission Demand Forecasting and statistical returns to internal group, including but not limited to: Logility, OBIEE; compiling data and verifying its accuracy, and pointing out necessary amendments to data files and system settings arising from the changing requirements of the internal teams. 2.To develop and maintain professional relationships with Internal Stakeholders (Sales,Marketing,Finance,Product & Supply team as required. 3.To validate the accuracy and completeness of all data Scripts in SIT 2/3 testing for MDM/TEP Cut over. Advise the Director of IMP of areas in which training is required or where systems and processing require development to conform with internal reporting obligations. 4.To create standard and ad hoc reports, letters and other documents as required by NA S&OP Team , collaborating closely with NA Director of IBP and team members and colleagues from other appropriate departments in the development of these reports. 5.To provide Logility and Demand Planning training and development for new and existing staff through the development of procedural documents and training manuals and providing guidance to colleagues regarding the use of new parts of the system and process 6.To manage, develop and test new developments and functionality within Logility and OBIA to ensure that the user experience is improved and data quality enhanced 7.To maintain and provide insight to Logility system data and processes by:

∙maintaining Logility parameters; (Seasonality Profiles)

∙Uploads budgets for each Portfolio

  • Uploads of Level 2 forecasts to make faster change s
  • Extracts so we have the ability to forecast at any level

∙setting up and maintaining user roles and access;

∙helping to solve users’ problems directly, liaising with NA Operations IT teams where necessary, and following up actions with helpdesk

∙ensuring technical staff are aware of issues and developments requiring their support.

8.To build the existing system connections and development of new relationships between Logility and other in-house systems, liaising with Pearson Technology(and others) where required.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Experience of querying and analysing large and complex datasets for communication to a variety of audiences

Experience of working in Demand Planning

Experience of preparing and submitting Statistical Forecasts and Clustering for Demand Review Meetings that Support an S&OP workflow

Knowledge of Logility Systems

SKILLS AND ABILTIIES

Ability to analyse complex problems and innovate to find solutions

Excellent oral and written communication

Ability to create ad Hoc Excel Reporting
