The Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU) is a research centre at the LSE. PSSRU, along with partners at the Universities of Cape Town and Sussex.

Job Description

We have recently been awarded funding from Research Council UK’s Global Challenges Research Fund to strengthen responses to dementia in seven middle-income countries. The STRiDE project involves a consortium of partners from these seven countries as well as partnerships with Alzheimer’s Disease International and Dementia Alliance International, and runs until 31 December 2021.

 

PSSRU is seeking to appoint a proactive part-time Project Assistant to start as soon as possible to support administration of the project. This post will involve a variety of tasks, including making travel and accommodation arrangements, organising and minuting meetings, organising events and maintaining projects records.

 

Candidates should have:

  • previous experience of working in an administrative role
  • experience of planning and organising events and conferences
  •  strong attention to detail
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to work effectively, and to support, a multi-national team.
