Accommodation Services at York St John provides a range of support and advice to prospective and existing students on all aspects of living in University residences or within the private sector. We are currently seeking an exceptional individual to join the department as Student Accommodation Services Manager, a role that is key in delivering a high quality service to students and responsive to the diverse needs of our student population.

Leading a team of five, the role is responsible for the day to day management of over 1,000 rooms. A resilient approach is key, as the post holder will be required to adapt to frequently changing circumstances, especially during peak times such as room allocation at the start of the academic year.   The successful candidate will be experienced in managing and developing a team of staff that is committed, responsive and customer-focussed. Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external customers are paramount.

Whilst experience of higher education and managing student accommodation is desirable, applications are welcomed from candidates with alternative operations / customer relationship management experience in a similar field (such as hospitality), as training and development will be provided.
