The Advanced Supply Chain (ASC) coordinator will manage daily purchasing maintenance activities in Pearson’s ERP system. ASC coordinator will monitor and analyze exception reports, monitor supplier orders and ensure that needs for the ERP system are met. ASC coordinator will work with both Supply Planners and Category Specialist for routine PO maintenance, cancellations and adjustments. The ASC Coordinator will also be responsible for expense PO types as required for front list manufacturing activities. This role will also be responsible for reconciling pricing discrepancies, delivery problems, invoice adjustments and general reconciliation of Supply Chain purchase orders. This position will report directly to the Director of Inventory & Supply Planning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage expense POs as needed for prep and plates
  • Manage PO maintenance as needed for cancellations, and adjustments
  • Reconcile pricing and delivery discrepancies
  • Liaise with Sourcing specialist and vendor to correct pricing inconsistencies
  • Manage direct shipment process for non AOD product
  • Liaise with Supply Planning team for reconciliation to PO discrepancies

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

1-3 year’s experience in Supply Chain purchasing experience

Prior experience in Sourcing rules in similar field

Knowledge of Oracle Purchasing application

Understanding of general publishing plans for paper, print and bind

Solid understanding of master data and databases

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Strong skills in Microsoft Suite, with expert in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, hlookups)

Understanding of supply chain metrics

Ability to run and analyze reports for purchasing
