Job Description

Envelope Planning is the centralized supply planning function for the Americas region and is part of Lubricants' Global Supply Chain (GSC). Its primary role is to optimize the balance between the Demand Plan and the Supply Plan while delivering key business metrics such as service and inventory.

Reporting to the Finished Goods Planning Manager, the Supply Planner is responsible for managing the supply planning of bulk and packaged finished goods, ensuring we have the right products, at the right time and in the right place to meet customer demand while delivering our inventory targets.

  • Validate the achievable production plan for time horizon of up to 24 months based on the forecast provided by Demand Planning.
  • Agree with the Plant Schedulers what should be scheduled for the following week based on the production plan, available production capacity, and available raw materials.
  • Subsequently, track production variance to plan, and identify the causes for any deviations.
  • Primary contact with the Distribution Planners on resolution of planning alerts (where we drop below safety stock or are unable to cover demand) across the distribution network. Identify the root cause and mitigate.
  • Work with the Inventory Manager to ensure safety stock targets are accurate and updated quarterly.
  • Provide regular updates to DRP Planners on supply status of all supply shortage alerts.
  • Work with the NPI (New Product Introduction) Planner to ensure that product lifecycle plans are reflected in the production plans, are executed to agreed timelines, and deliverables are met, such as managing the phase in and phase out of stocks.
  • Collaborate with Master Data Administrators and Plant Schedulers to ensure production planning master data is accurate and reflects reality with regular reviews are in place to drive improvements.



  • Bachelor's Degree (Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related discipline) or a minimum of three years of experience in Supply or Demand Planning.



  • Intermediate level skill with Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze routine to moderately complex data sets
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in fast paced environment
