What we are looking for:

To fulfil this role you must be an excellent communicator, well organised, self-motivated and able to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team with strong IT skills.

The Team Administrator will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department and delivery of the team’s objectives. Its primary goal is to support the Quality and Governance sub teams, such as the Datix Team, the Serious Incident team and the Quality and Compliance team, providing support and cover to the respective administrative staff, ensuring that processes and procedures are maintained with fluidity. Sample administrative tasks include collation and input of data into systems and databases; converting this for statistical and graphical representation where required, support for meeting, including the preparation and distribution of agendas and taking, transcription and distribution of minutes/ action notes, and managing diaries.

Previous experience of using the DATIX or STEIS systems would be advantageous, although full training will be offered. Excellent team working and prioritisation skills are crucial, and previous experience of working in a Healthcare environment would be helpful but not mandatory. You will have a multi-tasking ability and have a flexible approach to work in this dynamic and ever-evolving environment, and must be able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

About the Service:

The Quality and Governance Team work together to understand the safety and quality issues that arise within St Andrew’s Healthcare. By closely working with and supporting operational services, we are able to identify potential risks to safety and quality of services delivery. Teams that form the Quality and Governance department are the Serious Incident Team, the Datix Team and the Quality Compliance team. Together we ensure compliance with all related standards and laws via systems and processes and provide assurance to the Board and patients, that St Andrew’s Healthcare is meeting all of these obligations. The team are committed to ensuring that as a Charity we learn from incidents, support our staff to recognise where harm could occur and implement measures to reduce these.
