Senior Leadership Position of Technical, Reliability and Maintenance Manager Kellogg's Manchester Manufacturing Site.

Job Description

This Senior Management Position is pivotal to improving plant reliability and OEE.  As the leader of a technical function with over 80 team members you will need to be an inspirational leader and people motivator who embraces and demonstrates Kellogg values and behaviours. You will have a demonstrated history of developing an effective equipment maintenance strategy with strong execution within a defined cost structure and managing circa £2million budget.  As a lead position in the plant management team this role requires a high degree of change management skills to improve and enhance working practices at the Plant.




  • Developing site vision for craft technical development and skills.
  • Defining and shaping the focus of the Autonomous Maintenance & Reliability Maintenance practices in line with the standard Kellogg Work System model.
  • Managing the creation of the annual, monthly, weekly maintenance programmes.
  • Overseeing the execution of all asset maintenance work at the plant, both corrective and preventative.
  • Monitoring the quality of the maintenance plan and its performance output.
  • Developing appropriate management systems to ensure all deliverables are achieved.







  • A strong leader of people who can demonstrate embracing diversity across their team.
  • Union Negotiation Experience - Desired.
  • Degree in Engineering or Equivalent – Essential.
  • Breadth of technical expertise gained in a FMCG manufacturing environment - Essential
  • Experience and knowledge of maintenance methodologies and their applications
  • Experience of working in a food / other high standard driven manufacturing environment


As a member of the Plant’s Senior Management Team (SMT) there will be a requirement on occasion to travel to other global Kellogg locations for benchmarking and other functional events and to carry out activities that support the wider delivery of the Manchester Plant Goals.

Very proactive and highly engaged Union relationships on site (USDAW / UNITE).

Total people responsibility for circa 80 direct / indirect reports.

Reports directly to Plant Director and Peers are members of the Senior Management Team.
