Telephone Counsellor – EAP Helpline

Salary £18,000 per annum + Excellent benefits package

This role is a permanent full time position, working Monday to Friday.

We are looking to recruit a full time telephone counsellor, who has a recognised counselling qualification, to be confident in delivering telephone counselling and be comfortable working to a time limited framework whilst always adhering to the BACP code of ethics and practice. They will also be confident in providing information and signposting on a wide range of issues, (for which training will be provided), and have sound administrative skills enabling them to provide clerical assistance as and when appropriate.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision of telephone counselling to employees of our clients.
  • Provision of information and signposting on a specified range of issues.
  • Assisting with administrative and clerical tasks.
  • Act as a first point of contact for Health Assured customers.

 

Skills and experience required:

  • Possession of a recognised qualification in counselling
  • Membership with BACP
  • Experience in the delivery of telephone counselling
  • Experience of providing information and signposting in a supportive context
  • Flexible work attitude and reliable work history
  • Self-motivated and committed to providing continuous service
  • Excellent communication skills
