We are now looking for Testers and Test Analysts to join our Digital, Data and Technology team to help us to achieve this.
Are you a graduate or do you have experience in testing? Are you enthusiastic about reliable and usable software? Or do you already hold a ISTQB Foundation in software testing and have a proven track record in software testing; or do you have a working knowledge of the test process with a proven track record in software testing?

As a Tester you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of test data, test scripts and test environments ensuring they are used appropriately throughout the complete software development lifecycle. You will work with the team to ensure that testing is carried out and that quality issues are sufficiently considered during the development process.
As a Test Analyst you will be accountable for providing practical testing expertise, particularly in test automation within the team. You will be accountable for producing and maintaining robust and efficient automated test packs. Part of your role will involve being accountable for the provision of practical advice and guidance to team members on quality assurance and lifecycle testing. In addition, you will lead on test activities within the team, working collaboratively with developers to support a continuous deployment environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in a related discipline (or equivalent); and/or some industry experience in testing. In addition, you will also have knowledge and understanding of databases and experience in a coding language. As a Tester you have the ability to translate functional and non-functional requirements or user stories into documented and approved test plans and test cases. You will be a strong team player who can collaborate effectively with project team members and business representatives.
We are looking for effective, self-motivated individuals with experience in software testing multiple phases of the software development cycle. You will either hold an ISTQB Foundation level certificate in software testing along with a proven track record in software testing; or have a working knowledge of the test process and a proven track record in software testing. You will have experience of analysing systems and documentation to create test cases and the ability to problem solve system errors, collaborating to get resolutions. Experience in using automated testing tools and leading test activities within a team is essential. In addition, you can confidently engage, influence and persuade others to reach an agreement.
Due to Covid-19, the role will initially be home based so an induction and training will be carried out remotely, with full support from the team. Your home office will be located in the vibrant waterfront city of Plymouth, our environmentally friendly offices provide a great setting in which to work. Hundreds of miles of stunning coastline and 368 square miles of Dartmoor National Park are within easy reach.
