Trainee Essential Skills Facilitator / MAPA, Life Support, Manual Handling Facilitator

Northampton
Salary: Trainee commencing £20,000, depending on experience and qualifications

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with the potential to job share or part time

Are you passionate about developing the clinical expertise and practice of others? This role within the Learning and Development Team may be the post for you!

The Essential Skills Facilitator is responsible for the delivery of a programme of essential skills interventions which support employees throughout the Charity in the development of knowledge, skills and competencies. This includes; multi-disciplinary scenario based training in regard to resuscitation, manual handling and the positive and safe agenda as well as supporting new colleagues throughout their induction experience.

A key element of this post is to champion and inspire others to actively engage with the philosophy of least restrictive practice throughout the charity, focusing on the implementation of a culture of positive and compassionate care alongside a reduction of restrictive practices

An essential requirement of this post is the need for clinical/professional credibility and passion in regard to the development of others. It envisages that the post holder would be acknowledged as an excellent resource to professionals within the Charity.

Therefore experience in a clinical environment is essential; a professional qualification relating to the essential skills portfolio; (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression [CPI Registered], Clinical Manual Handling Instructor, Life Support Facilitator) would be desirable as would a Learning and Development Qualification (PTTLS or equivalent) or experience.

You’ll also have lots of support to continue your professional development and to remain up to date with your clinical practice, as well as further opportunities to progress your career.
