The Vice President, Portfolio Management & Delivery is an integral leader in Clinical Assessments, with the ability to impact Pearson customers globally. This role oversees the full portfolio of Clinical offerings, as well as complementary project management, research, psychometrics and creative functions.

The incumbent will be tasked with consolidating these currently independent teams in order to gain leverage from functional expertise within the organization and ensure alignment of work streams that increase speed to market and innovation across the portfolio.

Our role reports to the Managing Director, Clinical Assessments, as a key player integral to the long-term vision and strategy of the organization.This role is part of the Clinical Assessments leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure clinical assessment product offerings meet market needs, financial targets, and achieve growth objectives.
  • Leads portfolio management and governance of a range of product offerings. Manages a team that is market-focused on defining and building product capabilities aligned to market needs. Implements standardized processes, governance and reporting across product offerings to ensure consistency and quality of our offerings.
  • Provides central leadership for portfolio management, project management, research, psychometricians and delivery teams.
  • Supports the effective delivery and management of cross-functional initiatives.
  • In partnership with sales and finance, ensures proper forecasting, budgeting and delivery to financial targets and ROI realization.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business or related discipline or equivalent experience. MBA preferred.
  • At least 10 years of executive-level experience in digital portfolio or product management of market offerings generating over $100M in annual revenue.
  • Formal training and certification desired – PMP, CSM, etc.
  • Deep expertise in all areas of project planning, development, management and implementation;
  • Significant experience designing, prioritizing and overseeing a complex, global project portfolio, including large project budget management.
  • Outstanding communication skills – able to distill complex ideas and deliver them to a wide variety of audiences and stakeholder groups.
  • A global leader with a track record of coaching and mentoring teams and enlisting the talent of others to help meet objectives with sufficient autonomy.
  • Ability to move quickly – data driven, relies on facts and analytics in order to make decisions.
