As a successful candidate you will develop technical solutions involving the creation of digital images for use in complex operations in the UK and overseas. You could be deployed to work on any type of investigation including, but not limited to Child Sexual Exploitation, Cyber or Financial Investigations.
You will support operational officers in deploying the technical capabilities you have developed on behalf of the NCA to the highest standards.
You will design, develop, modify and adapt innovative technological solutions which enable the delivery of covert investigative activity against agreed strategic objectives.
You will provide information and advice on new techniques to ensure the organisation utilises the latest covert technical capability.
The production of images for the purposes described presents a number of legal, ethical and technical challenges. It requires specialist technology, training and, more importantly, artistic flair. To be successful in this campaign you will already be able to demonstrate this artistic talent, in addition to the ability and discipline to learn and apply the principles of covert law enforcement. You will have good communication skills and have the ability to work as part of a team. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to find creative solutions to problems.
In particular we are looking for proven experience of collaborative working in a technical/creative environment, whether this is during your studies, the workplace or in your own time. You should be proficient in the use of IT, with any experience or knowledge of digital creative software (Photoshop or 3D Modelling) being particularly welcome.
To join us it is essential that you have a strong interest in digital artistic/creative pursuits and have an A Level (or equivalent) in a moving picture or art-related subject. You will have passed 5 GCSEs at grade A* - C (or equivalent), including English, Maths and an art-related subject.
