The main focus of the role is promote, recruit, support and celebrate our amazing volunteers who each give their free time to enrich our patients’ lives. Working within the team, with our patients, volunteers and partners – you will assist the department’s growth across all our four sites. This role gives you the chance to help affect that growth and directly input into it.The role of Voluntary Services Assistant:
Working within a small team, your role will be to assist the daily functions and activities of the Voluntary Services Department and help grow and promote our existing 150 strong team of volunteers and our services. You will do this by supporting with recruitment, training, promotion and celebration of our voluntary services and undertaking the admin, events, meetings, databases and other duties required to fulfil this role.What you will need for this Role?
You will need to have previous experience and be well organised and proficient in MS Office – able to type, create and manage spreadsheets and reports, have good experience of using Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Publisher and Outlook; be able to manage diaries and be an excellent communicator on all levels. In addition, you will need to have a clean driving licence as the role includes some travel to our regional sites and Voluntary Partners.
It would be advantageous if you have the ability to motivate, guide and support others. Some previous experience within the voluntary sector and/or mental health will also be advantageous but not essential.
