Writer - Brand Storyteller
At Pearson, we’re committed to a world that’s always learning and to our talented team who makes it all possible. From bringing lectures vividly to life to turning textbooks into laptop lessons, we are always re-examining the way people learn best, whether it’s one child in our own backyard or an education community across the globe. We are bold thinkers and standout innovators who motivate each other to explore new frontiers in an environment that supports and inspires us to always be better. By pushing the boundaries of technology — and each other to surpass these boundaries — we create seeds of learning that become the catalyst for the world’s innovations, personal and global, large and small.

We focus on helping to strengthen our reputation with policymakers, influencers, the general public, and our employees. We are looking for a Writer to support on all aspects of developing original content for Pearson, as part of the new Storytelling Team. You will be part of a dynamic editorial team that will discover and develop story ideas and pitch them to internal clients across the business; your stories will reach both internal and external audiences. Your beat will be everything Pearson. A sample week could include writing the story of a maverick elementary school principal in Texas who is bringing learning to life for her students; interviewing an adult learner in the United Kingdom who is changing his future by learning to read and write; working to deconstruct a product’s end benefit and writing copy that brings that product to life in a compelling and relevant way. You will work closely with Pearson stakeholders and business units across the world, including: Marketing, Product, Sales, Consumer Insights, and Social Impact.
Reporting to the Director, Brand Storytelling, you will be part of a storytelling team that creates meaningful content across channels and mediums to capture and breathe life into Pearson’s brand essence, whilst supporting our strategic goals and priorities.
Collaboration, partnership, and active stakeholder management are foundational to success in this role. Thriving in an evolving environment, working to drive innovation, and continuous improvement for efficiency and sustainable growth are key.
