The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Specialist will be the primary contact for professional advice and guidance on all Equality, Diversity and Inclusion matters, embedding all relevant EDI principles across our UWS campuses and community. The post holder will develop, implement and monitor relevant policies, procedures and practices, including action plans, promoting equality and diversity to employees, students and key stakeholders. The post holder will support and inform the programme of work of the of the EDI Committee and the EDI & Wellbeing Coordination Group.
The successful candidate should have the following:
Relevant degree or equivalent alternative qualifications/experience
Experience of working successfully in an EDI role within a multi campus/multi-site organisation, implementing EDI initiatives, providing advice and guidance at all levels.
Experience of monitoring, reviewing and developing policies and working practices successfully in relation to EDI, including experience of undertaking equality impact assessments.
Demonstrable experience in the analysis, interpretation and reporting of data, essentially in public sector reporting duty
Strong project management experience and successfully supporting the implementation of change programmes
