Job Description

ABOUT US

Transforming lives through excellent education

London Met is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.

Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.

ABOUT THE POST

We are looking for an experienced Marketing and Campaigns Officer to join our Marketing team. This role is central to promoting the University's undergraduate and postgraduate offer, helping to attract prospective students through effective, insight-led marketing activity.

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of marketing campaigns; create engaging content across digital and print channels; manage course information and web content; and work closely with Academic Schools and key stakeholders to develop recruitment-focused marketing activity.

Key responsibilities include:

Marketing Campaigns

  • Develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns to increase student enquiries, applications, and enrolments across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • Work with Academic Schools to create tailored marketing strategies that support recruitment objectives.
  • Report on campaign outcomes, digital analytics, and sector insights to inform future marketing activity.

Content Creation and Website Management

  • Lead the creation of compelling content for prospective student audiences across digital and print channels.
  • Manage recruitment-focused content projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring consistency of messaging and brand.
  • Create and maintain high-quality website content using the University's content management system.
  • Optimise web content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and student engagement.
  • Coordinate and support the University's network of website contributors, maintaining publishing standards and approving content where required.

Course Portfolio Management

  • Manage the University's undergraduate and postgraduate course portfolio across digital and print platforms.
  • Ensure course information is accurate, engaging, compliant with Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) requirements, and aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Maintain course data across the University website, internal databases, third-party websites, and prospectuses.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary marketing contact for assigned Academic Schools, providing expert advice and high levels of customer service.
  • Build strong working relationships with academics, recruitment teams, agencies, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with the Enquiries and Conversion team to support lead nurturing and conversion activity.
  • Develop effective networks across the University to support the achievement of recruitment and institutional objectives.

Brand and Communications

  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all marketing materials adhere to the University's corporate identity and style guidelines.
  • Support colleagues across the University by providing advice on branding, content, and marketing best practice.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Marketing and Campaigns Manager when required.
  • Support marketing activity across other Academic Schools and projects as needed.
